National Robot Innovation Center unveiled in Shenyang

The nameplate for the new National Robot Innovation Center was unveiled at the Shenyang Institute of Automation affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences on June 19.

The center has adopted the operational model of a corporate enterprise, comprising of 14 members from universities, scientific research institutes and leading companies in the robotics industry.

In the future, the center will be turned into a base integrating robot research, technology services and the commercialization of scientific research achievements, with its focus on the detection and development of core robot parts.

Shenyang, as the base of the National Robot Innovation Center, has a solid foundation of robot research, design and production. 

Currently, there are more than 20 robotics businesses based in Shenyang, along with leading research centers such as Northeastern University and Shenyang Institute of Automation.
