The city of Shenzhen started testing its light show on June 30, attracting many locals hoping to catch a glimpse of the spectacular scene.
The light show is held in celebration of the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up.
Preparations for the show started at the beginning of this year, and light facilities have been installed at the Shenzhen Grand Theater, Huaqiangbei Commercial Pedestrian Street, Shennan Avenue, and the Futian CBD.
The official time of the light show will be announced after testing is complete, according to the city's urban administration bureau.
