China is willing to strengthen cooperation with the UNEP to promote South-South cooperation in environmental areas and the Belt and Road Initiative, Deng said.
Solheim highly appraised China's great achievements in the field of environmental protection, and said that the UNEP is ready to cooperate with the CIDCA in pollution control, clean energy, waste treatment and water resources management and to share China's successful experience and practice, promote the Belt and Road in a green way and implement the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
