Baotou Daily won a major media innovation award at a national newspaper industry innovation conference held in Langfang, Hebei province, from June 24 to 28.
Nearly 200 mainstream media companies and more than 400 employees in the industry attended the conference, where Baotou Daily won the Top 30 New Media Project Innovation Award for its Yellow River Cloud Mobile Government Affairs New Media Project.
Baotou Daily was first published on Dec 16, 1931, and has been publishing Party newspapers for 66 years. It is one of the oldest newspapers in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
In recent years, Baotou Daily has been pushing forward the development of media innovation and integration, and has been at the forefront of national newspapers and magazines in aspects such as news publicity, media integration and business management.
The newspaper was chosen as one of the top 100 newspapers and periodicals in China in 2017, making it the only winner from Inner Mongolia. It is the highest honor a newspaper can receive in China. Five local newspapers were selected on that list.
