Lushunkou district in Dalian held its first patent auction June 28. 

Also the first patent auction in Liaoning province, the event is expected to promote the transformation of intellectual property (IP) and the integration of technologies and finance.

The auction produced 42 deals, covering drones, machinery, new materials, 3D printing and big data, with turnover of 1.52 million yuan ($229,216). 

A ceremony for the establishment of an IP operation center also took place alongside the auction, filling the vacuum of an IP trading institute in Dalian.
