Shanxi exhibits attracted many businesspeople to the 10th APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Technology Conference and Fair (APEC SMETC) in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, with nine projects worth 231.2 million yuan ($34.84 million) agreed during the event held from June 27 to 29.
The nine projects covered fields such as specialty foods, machinery, silk, traditional Chinese medicine and tourism.
At the event, more than 70 Shanxi companies displayed nearly 200 kinds of products, involving fields such as equipment manufacturing, food and drugs, new energy and new materials.
Most exhibits are high-tech products with good market prospects and development potential, especially those related to intelligent manufacturing and modern medicine, attracting many businesspeople.
During the APEC SMETC, a number of Shanxi exhibitors and companies participated in forums on topics such as Made in China 2025, the digital economy and innovation at small and medium-sized enterprises. Some Shanxi companies took part in business matching and promotion activities to seek partnerships with other companies from home and abroad during the event.
In addition, Jincheng and Linfen cities organized tours of equipment manufacturing companies in Shenyang by local manufacturing firms, establishing a communication and cooperation platform for companies in the three cities.
