The 2018 National Judo Open kicked off in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region on June 27.
The competition, organized by Chinese Judo Association (CJA) and Sports Bureau of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, will run for three days.
More than 300 athletes from 27 teams across the country competed in the event.
The competition is of significant importance for national judo players as it will help them prepare for the 18th Asian Games, which is set to be held in Indonesia in August, said Xian Dongmei, president of CJA.
