Two brands from Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, made it onto a list of China’s most valuable brands released by World Brand Lab at the 2018 World Brand Summit in Beijing, June 20.
The list included four brands from Inner Mongolia, two of which hail from Ordos. Brands considered for inclusion in the list come from 25 industries, including food and drink, cultural communication, information technology and household appliances.
The two honored brands, Erdos (owned by the Erdos Group) and Elion (of Elion Resources Group), are valued at 93.16 billion yuan ($14.16 billion) and 18.24 billion yuan ($2.77 billion). Erdos ranked 46th, Elion 272nd on the list.
Notably, Erdos placed highest among all listed clothing brands, while Elion was the only environmental brand to receive a ranking.
