Nansha district in Guangzhou launched a special service platform with a Singapore-based association on June 25 to provide convenient services for domestic and foreign investors in the district.
The platform, established by the Nansha administrative office and the Singapore Kwangtung Huikuan (Guangdong Guild Hall of Singapore), is also expected to promote resource sharing and coordinated development between the two parties.
The event was attended by Pan Yuzhang, deputy director of the Nansha Development District management committee, He Guocai, head of the Singapore Kwangtung Huikuan, and members of the board of directors of the association.
Pan said in his speech that as a pioneering area for innovation and cooperation as well as a high level opening gateway to the outside world, Nansha is endowed with a great development potential, business environment and ecology.
"Enterprises from Singapore see great potential for investment in Nansha; the establishment of the one-stop international business service platform will for sure provide great convenience for enterprises of Singapore in entering Nansha," he said.
The platform helps extend government services of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Nansha Area of Guangzhou (Nansha Free Trade Zone) to Singapore, providing investors from Singapore and other overseas countries with services pertaining to commercial registration, overseas investment and international finance and investment consulting. Meanwhile, the platform will further strengthen contact and communication, actively expand new areas of economic activity and trade and cultural cooperation, and create a higher quality and more efficient all-round investment system that contributes to the country's promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative.
He Guocai also spoke at the event, saying that the platform is aimed at creating a comprehensive, multi-level and international commercial service environment and echoes the national call of "Bringing in and Going out". He added that the platform will not only bring convenience to overseas investors but also offer opportunities for both sides to enhance exchanges in terms of economy, government policies, and social and cultural communications, which will jointly enhance the influence of both sides in international affairs and achieve win-win development.
In recent years, with the rapid growth of the Nansha Free Trade Zone, the number of foreign investors has climbed. The platform enables Nansha to extend domestic commercial registration overseas, helping foreign investors understand the latest policies and investment procedures in the district. It also greatly saves both time and money for foreign investors and marks further upgrading of the commercial services of the Nansha government.
