After setting sail from Qingdao, in East China Shandong province, the first batch of medical monitors produced by Hisense for the African market took around 30 days to arrive in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Hisense medical exports will be one of the main components in the Chinese company's aid program in Africa, according to a press release by the company. The exported products, which will arrive in batches,  include not only medical diagnostic monitors, but also TVs, and other pieces of medical equipment. After all the products have been delivered to Kenyan medical institutions, Chinese medical and pharmaceutical companies will collaborate  to support local digital hospital image diagnoses, the construction of new medical facilities and lay a solid foundation for an improved Kenyan medical service.

With 49 years' experience in producing pioneering technological equipment, , Hisense has introduced a Computer Assisted Surgery System (CAS), medical display core products, a smart hospital, an intelligent information display system, an intelligent operating system and other multiple improvements in the medical care system to Kenya. Representing the best of the domestic medical display industry, Hisense medical displays meet the standard industry requirements and conform to the DICOM Part14 standard, with a high gray scale, a high brightness, a high resolution and ergonomic design, all acting as major competitive advantages.

In addition, sales of Hisense TVs have ranked first in the Chinese market for 14 consecutive years, and the company can count amongst its achievements launching the world's first laser TV. With 12 production bases and 12 R&D centers worldwide, Hisense is at the forefront of technological innovation. Hisense Industrial park in Cape Town, South Africa acts as the strategic hub for the company in this rapidly economically developing continent.

At present, Africa is still facing a shortage of medical services and medicines and largely only provides basic medical and health security for many of its people. Over 90 percent of medical equipment products and 80 percent of medicines are imported. Hisense has invested billions to accelerate China's internationalization of the global medical market, but also to improve the quality of medical treatment in Africa.
