A summer camp for teenagers from China, Russia, Mongolia and Kazakstan was launched in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, June 21.
The camp, themed “Youth Ambassador of Friendship and Peace”, attracted more than 200 teenagers, officials and experts from four countries to experience Inner Mongolian culture.
It will take the young people on a sight-seeing journey through grasslands and desert to promote exchanges between countries.
Cultural activities such as a bonfire party, Mongolian dance and ritual ceremonies will also be organized during the period.
Since the beginning of the year, Inner Mongolia has striven to expand the scale of international cooperation in tourism throughout the region under the Belt and Road Initiative.
In addition to Russia and Mongolia, Inner Mongolia is also seeking to expand its reach to Kazakstan by inviting the country’s teenagers to attend the summer camp for the first time.
The camp has been the brand event to enhance friendship and exchanges between people in China, Russia and Mongolia since its launch in 2013.
The camp will last for four days.
