The Precision Medicine International Institute opened at the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone on June 15.
The institute was established by several medical, technology and investment companies, along with military industry research institutes.
Strong contributions from Xingrong Medical Group and its leading medical resources, capital from Guoyun Innovation and Investment Management Co, and the advanced technology of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China brought the institute into being.
The institute will unite various fields and bodies in advancing research into precision medicine, and the application of findings to improve domestic treatment.
A special fund was established at the inauguration ceremony to better enable those in areas with poor medical resources to enjoy high-level treatment, turning precision medicine into an effective tool of poverty relief.
