Memberships of the local cooperation council of Sino-Russian Friendship, Peace and Development Committee held a meeting in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on June 16, in order to discuss strengthening further cooperation involving folk communication, bilateral economic and trade activities, as well as perfection of government department cooperation mechanisms.
The meeting was a part of the 29th Harbin International Economic and Trade fair, which was held from June 15 to 19.
Regulations and emblems of the council were discussed and approved.
Tianjin city, Zhejiang, Hebei, Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan provinces and Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region were taken in as new memberships of the council at the meeting.
Zhang Qingwei, Party chief of Heilongjiang province delivered speeches and raised four proposals concerning the council to better serve Sino-Russian cooperation.
In addition, officials of Heilongjiang Provincial Government and those of the central government responsible for Russian affairs, as well as representatives of Russia, attended the meeting.
