Due to its new grid service management system, Changsha county is expected to improve administrative governance and management, Changsha Evening News reported on June 28.

Peng Qihui, a social worker in the Wangxianqiao community, noticed that there were no fences installed around a restaurant under renovation while he was on patrol.

He used his smart phone to send a request to a service station online through an application that uses the grid service management system. Just two hours later, Peng received a response saying that the problem was being dealt with.

"The software keeps track of our work and also helps solve issues," Peng said.

Grid service management refers to a digital service management model for certain areas that makes full use of modern digital information grid technology to bring together people, places, and social service resources for systematic adjustment.

In late June, the service management system started trial operations in three communities of Changsha county, enabling social workers to collect information, offer comprehensive services, and troubleshoot potential security hazards.

The Xingsha social management and public service platform houses the mobile terminal, which processes all data collected from various reporters.

"Next, we will increase efforts to accelerate the official launch of this service platform, which is now in its alpha phase," said an official at the organization.

After its official launch, locals will be able to use the terminal to make an appointment, take photos and report incidents and other information to the community's service center. All these actions will be extremely quick and easy.
