Hechi opens its first drug prevention education base

A drug prevention education demonstration base opened at Yizhou Second Middle School June 11. The base is the first of its kind in Hechi city, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Designed for a 200-square-meter footprint from a 340,000-yuan ($52,800) investment, the center will detail the history of drug prohibition, international and domestic drug policy and cases of drug prohibition, and inform visitors about drugs and their dangers through detailed diagrams and samples.

The multifaceted demonstration and simulation experience areas in the center will provide a rich variety of audio-visual materials concerning drug prohibition in Hechi.

The establishment of the drug education center is aimed at providing students with detailed information and guiding them away from the use of drugs and towards their prohibition.
