Sujiatun district in Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China’s Liaoning province was officially recognized as “the hometown of China’s spring water”, according to information from the 2018 Spring Water Industry Development Summit held on June 12.
The honorable title was authorized by China Mining Association, about one and a half years after Sujiadun district submitted the application in November, 2016.
The spring water area of Sujiatun is located at the mountain front of the residual veins of Changbai Mountain, with its core area covering 47.3 square kilometers.
In the future, Sujiadun district will take advantage of its rich spring water resources, as well as local agriculture resources and local traditional crafts, to develop tourism and related products of spring water, to boost economic development, said a director of the district.
