Northeast China's Jilin province is promoting its traditional Chinese medicine and publicizing the TCM culture, according to a press conference held by the provincial administration of TCM in Changchun, on June 12.

According to the conference, a week-long campaign will be launched across the province to demonstrate the latest achievements on TCM starting from June 11.
During the campaign, people can get a closer look at the herbal remedies, the storage, processing and decoction of Chinese herbal medicine at hospitals, pharmacies, TCM museums and planting base of herbal ingredients.
Medical institutions will organize seminars on disease control and TCM knowledge, invite experts to offer free voluntary medical consultations and host popular medical science activities. The economically unstable people in Jilin will also receive medical help.

In addition, the administration will investigate and check the purchase of Chinese herbal medicine in medical institutions at grassroots levels, and the inspection will last until the end of this month.
According to statistics, the output value of the province's medical and health industries above designated size achieved 133.31 billion yuan ($20.92 billion) in 2017.
