An ASEAN delegation consisting of 19 ambassadors to China from seven countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, and Thailand visited Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 6, reports Baotou Daily.
Hu Zhengbing, deputy mayor of Baotou, accompanied the tour.
The delegation visited Baogang Rare Earths Exhibition Hall and a mining truck industrial park owned by North Heavy Industries Group to learn more about the applications of rare earths and the current state of development in the industry. The group was told about the latest research and development in manufacturing mining trucks.
Baotou is endowed with unique resources and has obvious advantages in development and investment. And the delegation called for further cooperation with the city in investment, trade and economic exchanges with the advantages brought about by the Belt and Road Initiative.
