Rice paddy art in Nandan

Nandan county of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region organized a rice paddy painting event on June 5, and received the participation of numerous people.

These rice paddy paintings cover an area of 45 mu ( hectares) terraces in an agricultural demonstration zone. Government officials and local people planted black and green rice according to the design, creating a vivid depiction of traditional country life.

The recommended period for enjoying rice paddy paintings is from July to October. Presented in the natural wonder of terraces, these paintings will attract tons of tourists to the county.

Apart from natural landscape resources, Nandan is also renowned for rice planting, especially Baping rice. Baping rice contains a rich amount of selenium, tastes both good and healthy, and has become a special agricultural product in Nandan.

The event is a combination of natural sceneries and agricultural civilization, exhibits Nandan’s rural construction from different angles, and will boost tourism development along with agricultural economy for the county.
