Wuxi Cultural Center established its first intangible cultural heritage branch in Wuxi Higher Vocational School of Tourism and Commerce for a superior inheriting trend, an official from the center said.
The school has successively set up studios in ceramics, paper-cutting, bamboo carving, clay figuring and celadon since founding its first studio of Wuxi embroidery in 2006. It employed several masters as teachers and cultivated a number of young people who loved intangible cultural heritage.
The center will take the intangible cultural heritage branch as a platform, pay more attention to the school inheritance and vigorously promote the intangible cultural heritage of Wuxi in the near future, an official introduced.
