The Village Satellite Television Project, a Chinese government initiative project announced during the forum for China - Africa cooperation held in Johannesburg, South Africa, was launched in Ombella-M’poko on May 16.
The project aims to enrich the cultural life of local people in Africa and promote cultural exchanges between China and Africa. The project is now fully implemented in 10,112 villages in 25 countries in Africa.
Officials attending the event included the president of the Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadéra, Prime Minister Simplice Mathieu Sarandji, all Cabinet ministers and the Chinese Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Chen Dong.
