The fourth China (Changchun) Rail Transit Expo will be held in Changchun, capital of Northeast China's Jilin province, Sept 7-9.

The news came from a press conference held on June 4 by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Changchun Branch.

Covering an exhibition area of about 12,000 square meters, the organizers will invite a total of 100 exhibitors, 10 higher education institutions, five research institutes, rail transportation operators from 30 domestic cities as well as 5,000 professionals to the expo.

China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) will bring their latest products and technologies to the expo, such as the new subway trains developed by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, the organizers said.

According to the conference, the planning and general layout of the Changchun subways will be released at the event, as Subway Line No 2 is set to start trial operation in September. It will help display the construction progress of major cities in China.

In addition, experts from all over the country will share their views on the industry at a forum during the event.

A group of 80 new products and technologies developed by Jilin- based national research institutes, universities, colleges and rail vehicle makers will be demonstrated at the expo.

About 5,000 university graduates majoring in rail transport, machinery manufacturing, computer design, convention and exhibition economy, enterprise management, and marketing will also visit the expo and communicate with the exhibitors. The move will help boost their confidence in securing a job in the industry.
