The city of Guangzhou forged a friendly-city bond with Rio de Janeiro on May 28.
From May 27-28, Guangzhou Vice Mayor Chen Zhenying led a delegation to the city in Brazil and signed a memo to enhance communication and cooperation between the two cities. In the future, the two cities will strengthen their economic and trade cooperation, as well as people-to-people and cultural exchanges.
As of today, Guangzhou has established sister city and friendly city relationships with 71 cities across the world.
