Tiankun, the first heavy cutter-section dredger self-developed by China, underwent a three-day sea trial in Qidong, East China's Jiangsu province from June 8 to 11.

The trial marked a key stride ahead as the dredger has now been tested for the first time in the marine environment.
Testing and verification of the reliability and stability of the ship's power system, as well as debugging and calibration of sea-going equipment, was carried out, taking Tiankun to shipshape status.
