International Judo Federation Hohhot Grand Prix concludes

The 2018 International Judo Federation (IJF) Hohhot Grand Prix, which serves as a qualification tournament for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, concluded in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 27.

The three-day competition drew 361 judokas from 46 countries and regions, such as China, America, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom and Japan.

According to Xian Dongmei, president at the Chinese Judo Association, a total of 56 Chinese judokas participated in the event.

Judoka Wu Shugen, from China's Inner Mongolia claimed the silver medal in the women's -52kg contest. And Wang Yan won the bronze medal in the women's +78kg category on the final day of the event. 

The event offered the people of Hohhot an excellent opportunity to marvel at the skills of judokas from around across the world.
