In late May, Mohammed Shabaz, a doctoral student of Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University, shared his ideas and views on building a "health corridor" which was recognized and accepted by related institutions.

He comes from Pakistan and has been studying in China for over 10 years. Engaged in minimally invasive surgery, he is now also a clinician of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University. He has attended many international medicine conferences on behalf of Shandong University. Besides, he is also one of the cofounders of the International Education Charity Organization (IECO).

"I started my journey in medicine in Shandong."

On February 12, 2016, his first Lantern Festival night in Jinan remains still fresh in his mind. "I have been to many big cities in China, but I feel at home only in Jinan."

When he takes a taxi, goes shopping or speaks Chinese in Qilu Hospital, people always ask him "Where are you from".

When he answers that he is from Pakistan, people would smile and say "Oh, brother", according to Mohammed.

He said, "There is a saying in Pakistan that the friendship between Pakistan and China is higher than mountains, deeper than oceans and sweeter than honey."

He is increasingly certain about it.

He spent the Spring Festival of 2018 with his friends in Qingdao and posted a photo of them with Qingdao Gulf Bridge on Wechat moments. This beautiful city impressed him a lot.

He said, "I really look forward to the Shanghai Cooperation Qingdao Summit. I sincerely hope that all member states can work closely together for more cooperation on energy, transportation, hygiene, education and the economy."
