The 2018 International Trade Skills Competition of Overseas Students from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) opened at Wuxi Vocational Institute of Commerce on May 26.
Students from 15 countries involved in the BRI – such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Yemen and Panama - took part in the competition.
The invitational meet of the national vocational college's international trade skills competition, the event is the first such competition involving students from BRI countries.

Tasks set competitors included using professional software in the Chinese language, general Chinese language proficiency, international cooperation and team spirit.
Created to provide a platform for overseas students to exchange their skills, and to create international promotion and communication opportunities, and to seek talents for the construction of the BRI.
