"Four years of working experience tell me that the cooperation model between Russia and the Shandong Academy of Sciences is right. Besides, I believe China and Russia will coordinate their efforts to carry out more international cooperation projects in high-tech fields."
Anatoly Martsev, the inventor of the runaway electron plasma technique, is a senior expert of Russian Academy of Sciences. Meanwhile, he is also a successful entrepreneur, who has set up six high-tech enterprises in Russia and Spain such as Laser Technology and System LLC, Electric Automobile Technology and System LLC and Malcolm LLC.
"I came to Shandong for the first time 10 years ago as the expert as a businessman in a Tomsk delegation," he said.
After visiting, he was left very impressed by the reform and development of Shandong and of China. He decided to introduce Russia's advanced technology into China and work together with Chinese partners.
He began to work in the laser institute of the Shandong Academy of Sciences in June 2014. He played a leading role in establishing the "China-Russia plasma technology joint laboratory" and has been working as the laboratory director and the academic leader.
According to Martsev, he looks expectantly towards the SCO Summit to be held in Qingdao. He hopes that it can push forward a series of progressive policies to benefit the people of China, Russia and the other SCO member states.
"I am truly looking forward to contributing more to the intensive cooperation of companies in high-tech fields among China, Russia and the other SCO member states, thus helping more people enhance their living standards through high-tech," he said.
