Creative design week underway in Shenyang

The second Shenyang Creative Design Week was unveiled in Northeast University in Shenyang, capital city of Liaoning province on May 27.

The creative design week will cover a range of cutting-edge ideas on areas of design and urban development in the hope of inspiring change in Shenyang's industrial structure.

The three segments of this year’s event include creative forums, competitions and exhibitions.

Experts in the fields of business and design from home and abroad will discuss furthering innovative development and upgrading the city’s existing industrial structure in the forums.

Meanwhile, 13 districts and counties in Shenyang will hold exhibitions displaying the latest achievements made in design industry.

In addition, competitions targetting boosting cultural and creative crafts will also be held; where good design works may obtain investment; and be commercialized into products.

The awards of the competitions will be announced at the closing ceremony of the creative design week, which is scheduled to be held on June 3.
