A 250-ton intelligent casting crane, the first of its kind in China, has recently been put into operation in Shanghai Meishan Iron & Steel Co, Baoshan Iron & Steel Co's subsidiary based in Nanjing, Jiangsu province.
Independently developed by the Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group in Shanxi province, the crane is used in the hoisting, moving and pouring of molten steel ladles in steelmaking workshops.
The intelligent casting crane can realize functions that a traditional crane cannot realize, such as smart control, precise positioning, intelligent diagnosis and remote monitoring. It is China's first intelligent casting crane with independent intellectual property, and is at the forefront of the global intelligent crane industry.
The production of the intelligent crane will provide large metallurgy companies with key equipment in building intelligent factories and help upgrade the traditional hoisting equipment manufacturing industry.
