China's cross-border trade on machine tools with Russia is expected to see rapid growth, thanks to the launch of the Russian version of the website acmtc.com on May 14.
The website is the only State-level cross-border e-commerce platform providing information, products, exhibitions, service, sales and solutions on machine tools in China.
It was initiated by China National Machinery Industry Corp (Sinomach), its subsidiary China National Machine Tool Sales and Technical Service Corporation (CNMTC), the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, and the China Metal Cutting Tool Engineering Association, and was powered by Zhongxun Cloud Technology Co.
The website, which was originally developed in Chinese, started trial operations on March 31. The Russian version will help expand trade between China and all Russian speaking countries.
About 100 guests from Russian and Chinese machine tool companies were present at the launch ceremony in Moscow.
CNMTC General Manager Liang Feng said that, as a central State-owned enterprise, his company has an obligation to implement the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.
The Russian version of the website will offer quality products and services to Russian users and enhance exchange and cooperation, Liang noted.
Dai Fang, general manager of Zhongxun Cloud Technology Co, signed agreements on supplier registration and user access with a group of Russian companies.
According to Dai, the website will offer online payments and other functions soon to boost the e-commerce business of Chinese and Russian manufacturers.
