Inner Mongolia's high-tech products shine at CHITEC

Nearly 50 universities, research institutes and technological enterprises from Inner Mongolia autonomous region attended the 21st China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CHITEC) on May 17, showcasing the region’s progress in that important sector.

CHITEC focuses on cutting-edge technologies and breakthroughs in key areas, facilitates the influence of capital in building scientific and technological innovation centers, and offers a general platform for exchange and cooperation.

This year the expo attracted 17 delegations from 14 countries and more than 20 provincial representative teams from within China, with more than 1,600 companies participating. During the four-day event, exhibitions focused mainly on coal and mining, marine technology, electronics and artificial intelligence.

Running from May 17 to 20, the event was approved by China’s State Council, sponsored by the national ministries of Science and Technology, Commerce, Education, Industry and Information Technology (formerly known as the Ministry of Information Industry), as well as the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the State Intellectual Property Office and the government of Beijing; it was organized by the Beijing Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

Inner Mongolia offered 54 high-tech products representing its industrial, technological and intellectual development in advanced equipment manufacturing, modern agriculture and husbandry, big data, high-performance new materials, non-ferrous metal production and processing, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and Mongolian medicine.
