Eight high-end dialogues and more than 50 professional forums will be held during the 2018 China International Big Data Industry Expo, said the organizing committee in a recent announcement.

With data, intelligence and integration as the subject headings, the expo will be held in Guiyang, capital city of Guizhou province, from May 26-29. Focused on the latest achievements and innovations, the expo will invite top enterprises and experts to high-end dialogues and professional forums.

Academics, professionals and the heads of international big data companies will discuss development trends in eight high-end dialogues on the internet of everything, artificial intelligence, blockchains, data security, big data plus, health care, industrial internet and poverty alleviation.

During the event, the organizing committee will host 25 professional forums; 30 more will be hosted by enterprises and institutions. Some cities and prefectures in Guizhou will also hold sub-forums on the theme of big data.

The big data expo has been successfully held in Guiyang for three consecutive years. Compared with previous sessions, this year's expo has attracted more world-famous enterprises.

Executives of Facebook, AMD, IBM, Tencent, Alibaba, and STMicroelectronics will address the Expo. Local business leaders like Huochebang, Esgyn, HXT, and BaishanCloud will also attend. Multinational companies and some foreign consulates have promised to host forums, an indication that private companies may be replacing government as the key drivers of forum planning.
