Linkdata Technologies, a leading provider of new energy batteries, will invest 20 billion yuan ($3 billion) in a new energy battery and power systems project in Jiangyin Hi-tech district in Wuxi, Wuxi Daily reported on May 23.
Linkdata will lead a group of companies in the construction of a research and development center and production base in Jiangyin Hi-tech district. The 66.7-hectare facility, in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, will focus largely on battery modules, EV power systems, and the development and manufacturing of energy storage systems.
Chen Jinhu, Party secretary of Jiangyin, said that the government will continue to give the project, the largest new industry project in the city, full support. During the signing ceremony, Chen also noted the great importance of the city's development of new energy.

Yan Zidian, chairman of Linkdata, spoke of the company's development plan and cooperation with Jiangyin Hi-tech district. "This project is a new starting point from which to achieve mutually beneficial results," he said.
After Beijing and Wuxi, Jiangyin Hi-tech district will be home to Linkdata's third strategic base for developing new energy batteries. New energy lithium batteries, the core product of new energy vehicles and the energy storage industry, will play an active role in building an industry development cluster and promoting the industrial transformation and upgrading of Jiangyin.
