III. Transfer foreign trade development modes and improve international competitiveness
To drive more middle and small-sized companies to expand exports, the province further developed cross-border e-commerce, comprehensive services and marketing purchasing by setting up pilot zones. It also promoted the construction of quality safety demonstration areas for imported and exported agricultural products, initiated the pilot site for “foreign trade demonstration county of new and old kinetic energy conversion”, improved the export of high value-added products, set up overseas exhibition centers for Shandong brands, expanded the import of advanced equipment and scarce resources, and increased trade facilitation.
IV. Further open up service industry and speed up the development of service trade
In line with national strategy, the province expanded the opening up of service industries to improve the utilization of foreign capital and make up the shortcomings of Shandong’s service industries. By making good use of the Shandong service and trade development joint conference, the province sped up the innovation of service trade technologies, and strove to develop emerging service trades. Additionally, the province promoted the integration between culture and technology, bonded trade and inspection and maintenance, e-commerce and logistics and transportation, Internet of Things and traditional Chinese medicine, entity retail sales and finance, and information and big data. Finally the province fostered new foreign trade growing points, and achieved coordinated development between goods and service trades.
