Lushunkou district of Dalian, Northeast China’s Liaoning province is making great efforts to boost high-quality development of local ocean ranches.
At present, the total planting area of several edible seaweeds has reached 833 hectares, with annual output of 220,000 tons.
One of the seaweed gained national geographic indication protection, while local sea cucumber and abalone are included in the list of China's top 100 most valuable brands of agricultural products.
