Inner Mongolia to open 15th grassland culture festival

The 15th grassland culture festival will be held from August 8 to 18 in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to an announcement by the Inner Mongolia government on May 21. 

New and enriched activities will be introduced at this year's event, in order to attract more participation by residents.

Participants will take part in 10 different cultural activities, including the opening ceremony, Ulan Muqir exhibitions and themed performances to commemorate the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening-up.

Over 30 programs in various forms, such as drama, musicals and exhibitions, will be launched prior to the event to pique the interest of residents.

Tipped to be the highlight of the festival is an ethnic musical performance titled "My Ulan Muqir", to promote the culture of Ulan Muqir.
