Ordos art troupe scoops awards in Mongolia

Dramas performed by Ulan Muqir Art Troupe in Hanggin Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, proved a hit at the 2018 Mongolian Language Drama Festival taking place in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia, on May 10.

One of the two dramas involved a fable, with actors playing the roles of animals, inspiring people to think about the importance of cooperation; the other implied the idea of peaceful coexistence between humans and nature.

The dramas won several awards, including awards for best screenplay, best director, and best set, as well as receiving 11 other nominations.

Ulan Muqir Art Troupe from Hanggin Banner is the only Chinese art troupe participating in the event. It is also the first time that they have been invited to the festival.
