Dalian COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Co delivered a floating production storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) to Brazil's state-run oil company Petrobras on May 18.
It is the first complete FPSO conversion project in China to be independently finished by a shipbuilder.
The original ship was a very large crude carrier (VLCC), with a length of 322 meters and a width of 56 meters.
The converted FPSO PETROBRAS75 now has a displacement of 316,000 metric tons, with a maximum operating depth of 2,500 meters.
It has a daily processing capacity of 180,000 barrels of crude oil and 7 million cubic meters of gas, with a storage capacity of 1.4 million barrels of crude oil.
