Zhanjiang household appliance enterprises signed deals worth a total of $9.2 million with buyers at the China-Myanmar (Yangon) Trade Fair 2018 held at the Myanmar Event Park from May 17 to 19.
Zhanjiang-made household appliances, including rice cookers, kettles, smart pots, slow cookers, freezers, and sound boxes sold like hot cakes at the fair.
The 12 participating enterprises each approached more than 20 professional merchants on average and negotiated face-to-face with over 100 key buyers to better acquaint them with Zhanjiang products.
These enterprises also studied home appliance stores and large wholesale markets for everyday items in Myanmar, so that they can adjust their products and marketing strategies to better suit local tastes and demands.
The fair was held by the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization. A total of 103 Chinese exhibitors signed up for the event to promote their hot products in the Burmese market.
