Shenyang Institute of Automation, affiliated to Chinese Academy of Sciences, held a themed exhibition on May 19 to mark the 60th anniversary of its foundation in 1958.
The exhibition comprised of two parts –– one part displayed the achievements made by the institute; and the second introduced the institute’s development through images and videos.
The exhibit items covered the sectors of robotics, intelligent manufacturing and photoelectric information technology.
The exhibition highlights included China’s first self-developed remotely-operated submersible capable of reaching depths of 6,000 meters, China’s first industrial 4.0 intelligent demonstration production line, an earthquake rescue robot, a polar exploration robot and a lunar probe robot –– displaying the cutting-edge technologies of modern China.
