CNNC Rich Energy Corporation is planning to invest 12 billion yuan ($1.88 billion) to construct a wind power project in Xinmin, a county-level city in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, according to information from the company on May 8.
CNNC Rich Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation, is mainly involved in investment, development, and construction of renewable energy projects, as well as being involved in the operations side of the industry.
The Xinmin wind power project has a design power generation capacity of 1.50 million kWh per year; and is estimated to generate annual revenues of around 100 million yuan for the local government.
At present, work related to land usage, resource analysis and investment research has been completed.
