A festival themed around traditional Chinese culture took place in Noto, Italy from May 18 to 20.
The Noto Flower Festival is in its 39th year and this year played host to works of art created by Chinese students.
Among the 16 works on display, eight were created by students from the International Academy of Arts of Dalian University of Foreign Languages (DUFL).
They worked with artists from around the world and created a flower carpet, 122 meters in length and 7 meters in width, depicting various elements of Chinese culture, such as Peking Opera and New Year paintings.
A three-day promotion activity for Chinese culture was also held by the Confucius Institute of DUFL and Kore University of Enna starting on May 19.
Events hosted for the promotion activity included six lectures covering Chinese history, tourism, music, the ancient Silk Road and Confucius. The events also included exhibitions of calligraphy, paintings and tea art.
