Final beam tops off first prefabricated substation in Hohhot

The last beam was installed in the first prefabricated electrical substation in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 15.

Invested by Hohhot Power Supply Bureau, the substation, which covers 1,237 square meters, was built to improve the city's power supply capacity.

Designed as a prefabricated structure, work on the substation's main structure took only half of the normal construction time while lowering waste by 80 percent.

The electrical substation is due to start its finishing touches and is estimated to be completed on September 30.
