A horse riding camp for teenagers was opened in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on May 13.
Horse riding, a niche sport, is popular among teenagers in Inner Mongolia.
The camp, organized by Inner Mongolia Outdoor Sports Service Center and local clubs, offers regular riding classes for students in the region.
It aims to enrich students' lives after school and promote the region's ethnic horse riding culture.
“The camp offers opportunities for teenagers to interact with horses, which is helpful for them to develop healthy psychological mechanisms and learn the spirit of hard work,”said Bao Zhihui, a director at the service center.
Bao also expressed his hopes that more teenagers would get involved in the sport.
He said the camp will also promote the development of local equestrian sports for teenagers.
