Lushunkou promotes high-end equipment manufacturing

The construction of a series of high-end equipment manufacturing projects is going smoothly in Lushun Economic and Technological Development Zone.

The main body of an aramid rope plant has been completed. The project covers an area of 36,000 square meters with a total investment of 200 million yuan ($31.4 million). Upon completion, which is scheduled to be by the end of this year, advanced manufacturing technologies and equipment will be introduced to realize the projected annual output value of 1.1 billion yuan.

A ship building plant and a container workshop are also under construction, which will create total revenue of 5.4 billion yuan upon completion.

This year is a vital period for the zone to comprehensively implement the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20). A total of 22 key projects with investment above 30 million yuan will be built, in a bid to promote eco-friendly development and boost the industrial transformation and upgrading in the zone.
