Shanghai Changfeng Joy City, a newly-opened shopping mall in Putuo district, announced a "One-Day Urban Resort" strategy on May 1 in response to the city's call to build up the "Shopping in Shanghai" brand.
The strategy suggests a one-day travel route combining the Legoland Discovery Center Shanghai, national 4A-rated scenic spot Changfeng Park, Changfeng Ocean World, Jackie Chan Film Gallery, Guoman Hotel Shanghai, and other cultural and tourist destinations in Putuo's Changfeng area.
The strategy is expected to integrate local cultural, tourism, and commercial resources, hoping to achieve fruitful results.
Zhou Zheng, vice president of COFCO Group and chairman of Joy City Property Ltd, said that a tourist package including the aforementioned scenic spots will be launched and visitors who buy the package can also get restaurant coupons, film tickets, and discounts on parking.
This April, Shanghai proposed building "Four Brands" - "Shanghai Service", "Made in Shanghai", "Shanghai Culture", and "Shopping in Shanghai". The city aims to create an international consumption market and develop into a shopping paradise for people all over the world by building up the "Shopping in Shanghai" brand.
