Baotou is to launch a direct flight linking the city with Guilin in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on May 24, according to Baotou Daily.
The flight will be operated by Air Guilin using an Airbus 320 which can carry up to 180 passengers. The service is scheduled to fly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday every week.
It will depart Baotou at 16:00 and reach Guilin at 18:55. The return flight will take off from Guilin at 12:30 and land in Baotou at 15:10.
It will be the second direct flight to link Inner Mongolia autonomous region with Guilin city.
The journey from Baotou to Guilin will be shortened from 31 hours to less than 3 hours with the launch of the direct flight, providing a fast option for passengers traveling between the two cities.
