The opening ceremony of the 6th Inner Mongolia fair for building and decoration materials and heating supplies was held in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on May 12.

Known as the highest-level event for building materials in Inner Mongolia, the fair is in its fifth year.

The theme of the fair was energy saving and environmental protection. More than 450 exhibitors showcased green building and decoration materials as well as heating systems in 800 booths.

“Boasting rich wind energy, solar energy and natural gas, Inner Mongolia plays an essential role in upgrading national heating systems with alternative energy,” introduced Cao Dongdong, secretary of Inner Mongolia interior decoration association.

Focused on heating supplies, this fair aimed to encourage heating enterprises to accelerate the innovative development of corresponding products, he added.
