More than 1,000 teachers and students from over 30 vocational schools displayed their works and demonstrated their skills at the opening of the 2018 Guangzhou Vocational Education Week held in Guangzhou on May 13.

Their products and skills included 3D printing items, virtual reality technology, bar flair, Chinese and western cakes, fashion, elderly care, judo and wrestling.
The city of Guangzhou has 18,500 unfilled kindergarten teacher positions, not including positions in newly established kindergartens, and job prospects in this field are bright, said Qiu Yiqing, president of Guangzhou Normal School of Pre-school Education.
The upgrading and expansion of the school has been listed in the city government's work report this year, Qiu said, adding that the school would increase student recruitment this year.
